“This is a great podcast for a relatively broad-brushstroke overview of ancient history. A lot of the focus is on the Near/Middle East, although excursions to China, India, and the Americans have happened. The presentation is a bit humorous, but mostly serious, but it is still very easy to follow and to enjoy. I look forward to each new episode and I hope that when Scott is done with this part of the world, he'll take a closer look at the other parts that seem to have fallen by the wayside in pursuit of this narrative. (Note that this is a pretty fair way to proceed; jumping to other parts of the world every episode would get hard to follow.)”Read full review »
