With Trump heading back to the White House, it has many Quebec border towns worried about the possible influx of migrants crossing the border. Canada saw a spike in people trying to enter at the U.S. border following Trump’s election in 2016. One border town mayor says she’s worried about her community becoming known as a crossing point. Caroline Rossetti, the Mayor of Saint Armand, which borders the state of Vermont, spoke to Andrew Carter.

Do you know someone who has been affected by Prostate Cancer? It affects one in eight men in Canada. There is now a very promising treatment to replace chemotherapy. The treatment has been approved by Health Canada, but negotiations between the Quebec government and Novartis on the price of the treatment have been halted due to a lack of agreement. Jean Krashevski , who suffers from advanced prostate cancer and has started a petition on Change.Org, spoke to Andrew Carter.

Today marks the 80th anniversary of The Oxford café in NDG. They’re celebrating the anniversary by inviting the community to a 5 a 7 on November 14th at the restaurant. The current owners bought it in 1997 but knowing how it was a staple in NDG, they wanted to keep all of its charm intact. Gity Pour, one of the owners, spoke to Andrew Carter.
