For Hab’s forward Michael Pezzetta, getting involved in the Movember campaign goes beyond raising money. For him, it’s raising awareness for men’s health and mental health as well. Sucking it up and holding onto your feelings in something all too familiar for him, and he’s looking to break that stigma. He spoke to Andrew Carter about a fundraising event.

Justin Trudeau announced yesterday a number of new measures meant to alleviate some of the affordability pressures you’ve been experiencing in the post-COVID era — including a two-month GST holiday on some goods and services. He’s also planning to send $250 cheques to the 18.7 million people in Canada who worked in 2023 and earned $150,000 or less. Last week, Premier Francois Legault said his government is prepared to use the notwithstanding clause to force doctors trained in Quebec universities to begin their careers in the province’s public system. Some say that instead of forcing doctors to stay put, there are other ways that the government can make it more appealing to stay in Quebec. Dr. Caroline Esmonde-White is doing her residency training in surgery at McGill University and she spoke to Andrew Carter.

The Montreal group, Coalition for Democracy Montreal does not like the way bike lanes are being implemented in this city. They say that there’s a lack of citizen consultation. Because of this ongoing issue, the group is planning legal action against the city of Montreal over the way it has been building bike paths.
