“This podcast broke my heart. I was enjoying listening to the hosts and thinking that this would be a wonderful podcast to enter into my rotation. Then, Sean implied that someone he didn't like was autistic. Okay, I thought. Well, that sucked, but hopefully that was it. Nope. later he called someone "ret**ded". Being autistic, and very sensitive to the disapprobation of others, this was very hard to take. It was very sad to see someone tackling leftist and social justice issues to be ignorant to the point of using outright slurs against a marginalized group.
So should you listen? Well, if what I've said is something you're okay with you might enjoy it? But if you care for and care to defend people with disabilities, this may well feel like that punch in the gut that I felt.
