Subtitled "an every day tale of country folk" this is the longest running radio drama series of all time, with plot lines running back to the 1950s, a wealth of characters from every period since the programme started, deftly written, well acted and a healthy dose of controversy thrown in to the mix. An institution and one of the most popular programmes on the BBC, at last its availabe as a podcast and Archers Addicts around the world can get their daily fix! If you have not listened before, give it a try, but be warned, it is addictive. Please, please can we have the omnibus edition of The Archers as a podcast? I will then not want to keep strangling the woman who keeps welcoming me to the BBC podcasts everytime I listen to an episode!
