Unbalanced
I enjoy and appreciate the idea behind this podcast, and I do like how the participants don’t explode at one another like on cable news. However, this podcast is pretty lopsided in favor of the left. The participants are a left-winger, an Obama-era liberal who tries to be impartial (but it’s fairly obvious he has a left-wing bias), and Ross Douthat as the lone voice of (for the most part) right-of-center views. It’s leads to outcomes where David and Michelle gang up on Ross, or where David tries to take a middle-of-the-road approach to throw Ross a bone. It would be nice if there were one more conservative voice at the table. Maybe have Bret Stephens participate, or (God help us) have David Brooks participate as another centrist, somewhat conservative voice, to balance out the “centrist” liberalism of David Leonhardt.

The podcast universe offers too many alternatives for me to use my time listening to someone rationalize Donald Trump’s hateful rhetoric. I subscribed, listened to much of the first discussion, stopped it and deleted the app.
