Not what I was expecting
It wasn't. At all. And that blew me away. Instead of what you normally think of when someone says "manly" there's no bravado, no chest thumping, no ego, just... awesome. It's a show about making yourself a better man, a better husband, more knowledgable and overall just a good guy. I've even had my wife listen to it a few times when there have been talks on family or relationships and its been enlightening. Don't get me wrong, he talks about war, guns, working out and other "manly" things (context: with historians or personal fitness folks), but he also provides interesting interviews about things like strengthening your mind, being a good provider, farming (that episode was very interesting) and a plethora of other things that are there to just make you... Well better as a man. If you haven't checked the website, do that. But I highly recommend the podcast for your drive to or from work. Good inspirational stuff to help us all be manly.Read full review »

Heard a friend talking about your podcast, tried it out and am addicted. Some great information and just interesting interviews. Can’t stop relaying all the information to my wife. Thanks and hope you keep them coming!

Subject matter is familiar for AOM readers, but Brett pulls in a wide variety of guests - authors, writers, researchers, business leaders, etc. I learn something every show. Brett also does a good job of letting the guest speak and not trying too hard to steer the conversation.
