Lucid, comprehensive, sincere
Much of modern, popular astrology dives directly into techniques and interpretations, overlooking its underlying rationale, its long and diverse history, and—perhaps more importantly—the implications of its use. Chris Brennan has crafted a show that seeks to explore all of these neglected topics. Just look at the wide range of material he covers—from the definition of "astrologer", to the ethics of using astrology in everyday life (both for practitioner and client). He compares and contrasts different historical systems such as Hellenistic and Indian, traditional and modern, even mundane and magical. And through all of this, his enthusiasm and sense of sincere inquiry are evident. This podcast has given me a deeper respect for astrology and for the sophisticated ideas that lie behind its elegant system. I understand now why astrology has endured for millennia across countless cultures, and on a personal note, I can say it has enhanced my own faith and spirituality. I look forward to more episodes of this show!Read full review »
