“I really like this podcast. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in the world of astrology being taken seriously. Chris is a strong interviewer and I enjoy the people he chooses to interview. Keep it up Chris! I’d been looking forward to the Saturn in Cap episode but wow...it was full of pessimism. It was almost unbearable to listen all the way through. I understand this is a tough astrological aspect. But...Saturn is in its home sign!!! Yes, the Berlin wall was built during the late 50s transit...but it also came down during the early 90s transit. Not everything needs to be sunshine and daisies but not everything needs to be doom and gloom either. There needs to be more balance in this show when Chris does these round table discussions. There is balance in his interviews, keep up the good work there! Without balance and a little more structure to episodes in that round table style, it’s hard to stay invested as a listener. I want to give this podcast 5/5 stars. I wish there was more diversity in terms of forecasting, from different practices/perspectives. I see what others are saying about Austin and I hate to agree...but...all I’ll say is that Austin often needs to have the last word and it’s uncomfortable as a listener. It doesn't feel like an equal exchange. He can be incredibly insightful and I do enjoy his input, but I also think he needs to work on his gratitude/listening muscle. I also dont *only* want his input. I find Kelly often has to back-track what she has said (essentially apologize) or others have to bend to Austin’s last word to maintain the flow of the show. Ok, Austin, you dont like hierarchies. I dont like the British Empire or its colonial history. But the royal baby is in the cultural conversation and the birth time is available. Why make it so the flow of the conversation essentially has to come to a halt, and throw a mini tantrum about how you dont care about the royal baby? It wasnt about caring about the monarchy so much as utilizing that baby’s chart to discuss astrology lol. Maybe Chris needs to better organize talking points ahead of time so these awkward moments don’t happen.
It would be interesting to restructure the forecasts, maybe have different astrologers record a 1-3 min clip about their theories for the transit. Edit these clips together in the beginning of the episode after Chris’s host intro and THEN have a roundtable discussion with Chris, Austin, and Kelly.”Read full review »
