Entertaining and Intelligent Hosts
Entertaining and Intelligent Dialog A great show for anyone interested in philosophical debate, atheists and theists alike. It will help teach you how to reply logically and rationally to illogical, irrational arguments. I used to get so frustrated when trying to converse with theists because they often made illogical statements as if they were facts but all I could respond with was, "Um, that's crazy talk." The show has taught me so much about how to respond and inspired me to do more research on logic and philosophy so now I am much better equipped to spot logical fallacies and not allow them to be used in a philosophical debate. It's also helped me be even more rational and critical in my own thinking so I don't resort to logical fallacies myself when responding or forming a premise. The show is also useful for theists as it corrects a lot of misconceptions about atheism and sets the record straight like: atheism isn't a belief it's the absence of belief, atheists don't believe in nothing, agnostic is not the middle ground between atheism and theism, atheists do demonstrably have morals, etc. My favorite part of the show is when theists call in and try to logically prove the existence of a god. They always fail. They will start of saying they can unequivically prove the existence of God but they always end up stuck in a logical fallacy like an appeal to popularity, tradition, or sentiment. It's great fun to listen to. Also check out the show on Ustream.TV where you can watch archived shows and see live shows on Sundays.Read full review »

While this show has its bad moments, (Russel missing the first eight minutes being the most prominent) it is overall very entertaining and intellectually stimulating. The quality of the show depends on the callers, and when an intelligent theist calls in, the end result is a very interesting...Read full review »
