One of the greatest interviewers, but...
Jeffrey Goldberg is really bright and knowledgeable. He’s also a sophisticated thinker. You can tell by his quick and incisive follow up questions that he thinks quickly. In short, he’s a great thinker and a highly skilled interviewer. But I notice that he throws softball questions to people on the left, sometimes just taking the left’s narrative as a given in his questions (e.g. Tracy Chou) and asking only slightly challenging questions, while constantly challenging and registering his disagreement with interviewers on the right (e.g. Mollie Hemingway). I’m glad he interviews people on the right though. Overall an enjoyable but imperfect podcast.

Only thing I wish is that this podcast was longer. These guests are too good for such short episodes. I could listen to 90 minutes of this.

Interesting guest list but Jeff needs to stop interrupting and dominating the conversations. All you can hear is him with the guest faded into the background. It’s as irritating as those morning talk show radio pairings that are always on during the drive to work. Not as thoughtful as I had hoped.
