I start by explaining the underlying mechanisms of leaky gut and intestinal permeability. I then expand into Celiac Disease and how gluten triggers "leaky gut" along with intestinal inflammation, which destroys the "villi" - the tiny little hairs on gut cells that absorb our vitamins and nutrients and leads to malabsorption and the possibility of other autoimmune processes.
I then discuss two major inflammatory bowel diseases Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis, their differences, symptoms, diagnoses, and more!
