The graduate-level BSC seminar you didn't know you needed
When I was 8, I loved The Baby-Sitters Club. When I was 18, I declared an English major. This podcast is the perfect combination of interests and abilities. The hosts apply detailed textual analysis to support their interpretations of the books, and listening to thoughtful discussions of religious signifiers and imagery, linguistic development as a metaphor for identity, the interplay of faith and fortune in an occult context -- about the Baby-Sitters Club -- is sublime. It's hilariously ironic, a parody of both the books and literature podcasting, and while it makes fun of the books relentlessly, it's all coming from a palce of genuine affection and nostalgia.
