The hosts apply detailed textual analysis to support their interpretations of the books, and listening to thoughtful discussions of religious signifiers and imagery, linguistic development as a metaphor for identity, the interplay of faith and fortune in an occult context -- about the Baby-Sitters Club -- is sublime. It's hilariously ironic, a parody of both the books and literature podcasting, and while it makes fun of the books relentlessly, it's all coming from a palce of genuine affection and nostalgia.
