top podcast on Bangkok
An intelligent and often funny look at Bangkok, for anyone interested in the city or in Thai culture generally. Long-term residents, business visitors, tourists, Thais themselves, or curious browsers should all be able to find something here. Presenters Tony and Greg are sharp, funny, informative and friendly. Their thoughtful interviews have focused on wide range of topics affecting foreigners in the Big Mango: finding a place to live, job-hunting, local transport, visa issues, personal safety, and nightlife and dating, to name just a few. Tony and Greg's obvious affection and respect for their host culture doesn't blind them to its faults, but they manage to avoid the pitfalls of starry-eyed exoticism or barfly whinging. This podcast provides insights which go beyond the cliches, exploring more complex areas such as religion, Thai language study, doing business, charity work, superstition, Thai politics, etc - all reflecting the interesting and varied backgrounds of their Thai and farang guests. I listened to all the episodes in about five days hahaa. High production values, interesting material, good fun.Read full review »

Hey guys I stumbled on this podcast while searching the term ‘Bangkok’ in iTunes... I visit Bangkok every year and live like an expat for the week I’m there, so it’s great to tune in and hear what’s happening in my fave city. Maybe one day I’ll move over permanently!
