The hosts Francesc and Dan provide a comprehensive, in-depth analysis of matches, player performances, movements concerning the board, local fan reactions, transfer rumors, and more.
Francesc being a Barcelona native and FCB supporter for life provides valuable local views and information foreigners like myself can never know about. Dan on the other hand is adept at indicating key points when reviewing a game using accurate statistics and highlights.
The five-star ratings of players for each match generates discussions and debate, which deepens one's love for football and for the club.
Another characteristic of the podcast is the listener-fan questions, where the hosts do their best to answer as many questions posed to them via twitter, facebook, and the Barcelona Blog. Personally I've had the distinct privilege of Dan and Francesc answering many of my questions that I posted on Twitter, which shows how much the two hosts care about their listeners. There is nothing more pleasing than having your name be called in the podcast and be given a very satisfying response to your questions.
One of the recent highlights of the podcast I'd also like to mention is that both hosts, despite an emotionally turbulent period, remained impartial to explain the recent Catalan referendum and how it affected the club, which was greatly appreciated in an age of fake news and biased reporting.
There are many other positives I'd like to mention, but in total, The Barcelona Podcast which I've been listening since episode 1 is the go-to-podcast for anyone already a fan of FC Barcelona and those interested in learning about the world's best club.
