“This is a great concept for a podcast. I was really hoping the Vox Games crew would come up with something to differentiate it from the glut of video game podcasts out there.
The idea is: each host brings to the table their favorite game from that week to be considered for Game of the Year. New entrants go up against each other and the previous week's winner until a new king is born, so we'll always know what the best game of 2012 is at any given moment. Or will we? (No disrespect to Ziggurat.)
Most importantly, the hosts already have an easy rapport. They're quite funny and unafraid to take shots at one another. Knowing the rest of the Vox Games folk, I assume this trend will continue with future assemblages.
The small selection of games means that general video game talk will be limited, but that's fine. The Besties is the waffle to the Giant Bombcast's chicken.”Read full review »

Pointed me to a ton of interesting games and had me...”Read full review »
