More from The Betrayed
First, thank you for your courage in sharing your stories. The discovery of my husband’s sexual addiction was a little over a year ago and as you can well imagine was devastating at the time. We have been together 36 years, married for 30 and so, to learn that my husband has been using pornography since before we met has been a traumatic reality to accept among many other realities. I receive betrayal trauma therapy including EMDR and work a 12 Step Recovery Program for spouses of the addicted. Your podcast has helped me to understand his woundedness and see the man beneath the addiction. I thank you for that. I have noticed a strong focus toward sexual addiction or the addict’s perspective in your topics and in Coby’s & Ashlynn’s sharing as well. The podcast is titled The Betrayed, The Addicted & The Expert. I need to hear more from The Betrayed, her experiences, strength & hope both past, present & future to broaden the base of my own understanding of my own woundedness and the work I still need to do. I understand that we do not want to be held hostage by our past as is very relevant in your podcast title. However, listeners such as myself need to learn from your experiences & wisdom. In addition, we learn in 12 Step to focus only on ourselves & so to hear about others in a group seems like a breach of anonymity & irrelevant quite frankly. Thank you for considering this perspective and peace be with you, Jacki

This woman is being abused on air by an abusive man who is manipulating her and a therapist who doesn't understand abuse. It's unethical and super alarming. I feel so bad for her!Read full review »

The three different perspectives really bring everything together. It's a fight together for a marriage and hearing how they have and are winning that fight gives so much hope! Hope with how they did it and what we can be doing better to also win our fight. It's not just faith but actions...Read full review »
