“This podcast has quickly become one of my favorites, based on the speed of which I've gone through episodes, and by the number of people I have recommended it to and brought up big ones and little big ones to my friends and family. I learned about this podcast and almost immediately proceeded to listen to over half of the episodes in less than 3 days. One of the things I like best about The Big Onesis what a guest (I think John Early) pointed out: there is a clear focus on the questions and there are clear-cut segments to each episode. The Little Big Ones where we (the audience) get to learn about the guest, the Big Big Ones which include hilarious sketches and improvised characters, and the Dear Big Ones where Amanda and Maria dole out advice are all so distinct, funny, and pleasant. At the same time, the intro sections are a nice way to get a glimpse into the co-hosts friendship and learning about the relationship with the guest. I really think this podcast is a great way to spend your time because not only is it super funny and thought provoking while listening, but the topics then become great conversation starters with your friends (even by text!). I have enjoyed Amanda's Marabel podcasts as well as of course rooting for the Pistol Shrimps, but I actually wasn't that familiar with Amanda and Maria's joint work until becoming a Big Ones listener, and now I'm very excited to check out Ghost Ghirls, Late Night Lemonade, and their other comedy work. I'm so glad to have found this podcast and I look forward to the episodes each week. I think you will too.”Read full review »

Behind all the comedy, there's a really serious insightfulness to the show. I learn about myself...”Read full review »

“Maria and Amanda are so funny. They work off each other so well. They have a unique dynamic that is just so funny and engaging and they invite a quest into that each week and it is seamless and works so well. As a duo or with a quest or quests, I just can’t get enough. Make my drive to or from...”Read full review »
