“Having maintained websites for prior employers, I was naturally handed this task upon starting the job I have now. As time progressed, however, it became clear that an entirely new site is needed, and the money to hire even a single designer or developer is not there at the moment...so it falls to me - jack of some trades, master of none. For the last six months, I've been consuming design/development media voraciously - eager to consume anything I can about design concepts, process, user experience, and anything relating to the languages I'm using to develop the new site.
I love this podcast. Dan, Jeff, and their guests talk about subjects that are not only relevant to what I'm doing, but they give me a great sense of what others are doing. Being a lone designer and developer whose job title has neither of those words in it, I'm grateful to hear these topics that are so relevant to what I (and so many others) are doing.
While I'm grateful for almost everyone who takes the time to make a podcast (and I know it takes a lot of time!), I'm even more grateful for ones like the Big Web Show, where the conversation flows naturally, the sound quality is good, and the content is constantly interesting!!”Read full review »
