Still my staple pod
Been a big fan of Barnwell ever since I stumbled into Grantland late in its lifespan, just in at the height of his and Robert Mays' thrice a week Grantland NFL Podcast, which will always have a special place in my hard drive for their breakdown of Chris Borland stomping onto the scene before vanishing into the night, or Aaron Rodgers' launching touchdown passes and breathing fire. All of that was how I got to be a fan of his, but it's not like I didn't figure out that he's one of the hardest working, knowledgable, and fluent writers ESPN has to offer. Hearing Bill talk about football three times a week made me smarter then, and let everyone into the process of how he comes to the conclusions he makes. That's why now, when he holds a particularly strong opinion (as long as it's not food related, sorry safe space!) I tend to back it, knowing that he's put in the time and research to know what the hell he's talking about. tldr: great pod, talks about all sports, but especially good for football fans and laughing along every Bachelor/Bachelorette talk when I've never seen the showRead full review »

Bill is great in print but it doesn't translate to radio/podcast. Bill is far too boring and awkward for this type of media.Read full review »
