Neal straddles the line with comedic questions and direct questions which hits home for anyone who is a looking for a truly genuine podcast. One of my favorite podcasts to date.

One of the best! Funny. Moving. Informative (SNL) Thank you both for this heartfelt pod.

Really enjoy the far-ranging and frank conversations on this podcast. Was bummed about how frequently Neal misgendered Marlon Wayan’s child in the most recent interview.

Man I used to love him but his relationship nonsense was the most toxic egotistical bullsh$& I've ever heard. Good job poking him slightly about it. 🤢Read full review »

Not even the Reddit geeks could find the Electric Guest song. The musicians could tell that this song would rawk. I was telling you, producers, we would all pay EG for the song. This tidbit haunted me like Pumped Up Kicks did so long ago. It will blow up. Thank you to NB, Will, & especially...Read full review »

Why are there random beeps and sounds on the pod eps? I thought my phone was dying. The content is good but for the love of god get out the random beeps.

You’ve helped me understand how to be a more compassionate person especially toward my man. Thanks for offering all of this to the world.

It’s like You Made It Weird if the host didn’t need more attention than the guests and didn’t push snake oil

More of the same, stuck… it’s the same problem with most other podcasts. Why are all of the episodes about men? How many blocks of theirs can we learn about? We already know that comedy is male-dominated industry. Let’s hear about what the woman of comedy had/have to deal with.

Great podcast but please fix the mic/desk thumping. Listen with high quality headphones. It’s quite annoying.
DaveNemirovsky via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 09/19/24
The show has so many fantastic insights into different people’s mental health and wellness and it’s funny. I think at times it is over edited and noticed terrible unnecessary reverb that’s almost made me turn it off. You don’t need to alter voices to emphasize points.

This podcast is great and I recommend it to anyone looking to understand that they aren’t alone in their faults/issues/problems. It’s an entertaining way to find ways to improve yourself.

I feel the worlds possibilities get a little better each time I hear the depth of humanity in these interviews. Each interview, so far, feels super safe. Excellent work NB. Much Respect.

Sorry. All the sound effects and audio cut-ins make this unlistenable for me. But Neal is great and I wish him the best.

Really been enjoying this, it’s a refreshing way to think about challenging behaviours and addresses some often heavy topics but also in a fun and manageable way. My sincere thanks to Neal for doing this.

Paul is a great interviewer, and really enjoy his talks with his comedian friends. The only thing I dislike are the annoying Apple notification tones every few minutes when he receives an email! Suggest someone with a modicum of computer skills show you how to turn off the notification tone. ...Read full review »

Neal is funny and insightful, but his real gift is meeting his guests where they are. If they want to riff, then riffing it is; if they want to talk seriously, they will do that. Great flow. Also: best closing music of any podcast.

Funny, introspective, deep and helpful. Some of the most engaging conversations I’ve ever heard. This has immediately become my favourite podcast.

Neal is incredible! Maybe his journey offers an expertise, plus his intellectual prowess to consistently draw out themes in guest’s lives that connects with us, or me, but certainly to the struggles we’re all navigating in a way that expresses “you’re not alone.” Thanks Neal! I get a kot of therapeutic advice from the show. I am also very interested in the life of a comic. Great show, high quality. Perfect editing.

Just that, the episode ends while mid conversation, surprised I’m the first one to comment this. Dope podcast I enjoy mucho!

I just heard the episode with George Wallace, a comedian I knew only from Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, and I was stunned! Any questioning of Neal’s comedic ability away from Dave was idiotic to begin with. This podcast is another example of how brilliant he is. Neal is America’s Rose and comedy royalty!

These are hands-down the best interviews of comedians I’ve ever heard. My only gripe is with the loud tones that mark each Block as they come up in conversation. I don’t think we need them. Or maybe cut the volume of them by 50%? Otherwise an incredibly insightful podcast.

I would have given 5 stars except for the fact that there is an annoying ding every so often. Now I can’t listen!

Host has a hard time not turning to conversation back to himself and his own strong views instead of listening and inquiring. Ex, Seth green had tons of wisdom and the conversation felt like a therapy session for the host. Joe Rogan type of poor listening, over estimated self awareness, and...Read full review »
