“I admire your courage Russell, to share your journey and your personal testimony of the Book of Mormon. I am quite confident that you are not challenging anyone's belief in Jesus Christ.
Not how they view him or how they might follow Him. Each of us has an individual experience as to our faith and how it develops concerning our Savior. The Book of Mormon challenge is to learn more of Him through taking the Book of Mormon and putting it to the test in companionship with the Bible.
I don't believe we are meant to take spiritual things on blind faith. Study it out. If millions of people have read it and gained a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ there may be something to it.
My question has always been, "Why wouldn't a loving God give us more information from heaven when so much has been lost over the centuries causing great confusion for his children".
If we refused to read Russell's great business books we would be left to someone elses interpretations of what he is trying to teach us and we would not benefit.
If we don't read the Book of Mormon we trust in someone else's take on it then we miss out on the wonderful things that we may learn to help us know Him better and become closer to Him. If we can know him better by studying the Bible and the Book of Mormon together why not just do it. Give it a try, put it to the test. It is an individual journey. We are not forced to do anything.
