You don't have to be in New York to feel right at home...
I live in Tokyo, Japan. I listen to The Bowery Boys podcast every Monday morning during the 40 minutes I spend in commute to work. This podcast makes even being crammed into a hot train car with 100 other people and no breathing space seem worthwhile. Each week, I find myself indulged and interested in a different topic of New York history. I've never even visited New York (such a travesty, I know!) but Greg Young and Tom Meyers make me feel like I'm right there with them and that, if I ever did get the chance to visit New York City, I'd fit right in. Bowery Boys, you're amazing!Read full review »

I only wish they were longer. Also while they are cute in their geeky enthusiasm, sometimes the hosts can be a bit too self referential. Slightly less cute patter and slightly more interesting history nuggets would make it five stars. I do like the podcast very much and look forward to more.Read full review »
