The Milwaukee Bucks... won more games than they lost in a week? Exciting times call for exciting podcast discussions as the original Deer Diaries (A Milwaukee Bucks Podcast!) crew assembled to talk the 2-1 week that very well could change everything.
Kyle, Adam, and Riley discussed Giannis Antetokounmpo's return to dominant form, ask more questions which they don't yet have answers to, and ponder possible bright futures with Taurean Prince in the mix.
All that, plus rapid fire questions, a...

Well... this is a bummer.
Heading into the 2024-2025 season with championship aspirations, the Milwaukee Bucks have instead bumbled their way to a 2-8 start.
Kyle, Jack, and Riley talk through early season observations with particular focus on what, if anything, Giannis Antetokounmpo can still give, how to never play Bobby Portis or Pat Connaughton again, and a defense that has no concrete fix in sight.
All that, plus rapid fire, Kyle's review of Old Dads, Jack's latest report from the...

In a special midweek edition of Deer Diaries (A Milwaukee Bucks Podcast!) we were happy to be joined by the singular Kris Johnson to discuss a number of early season topics. Kris is 50% of the duo hosting Hear District (with his father, Marques Johnson, making up the other half) as part of the Bucks+ audio program network - on their weekly program they host guests from across the organization and NBA to discuss the Bucks, the league, and basketball in general.
We begin his appearance with a...

And we're back!
With the episode dropping on the day of the Milwaukee Bucks 2024-2025 season opener, it was only right that Kyle and Riley got together to put a final bow on their Season Preview Series of interviews.
The takes start with Tyler Smith being the most intriguing new Buck and they don't get any less insane from there!
We want to thank everyone who listened or watched any of our podcasts with guests. It was a lot of fun, and we look forward to another season podcasting the Bucks...

The Milwaukee Bucks 2024-2025 season is around the corner, but we've got a few Season Preview Series still to go! This week, we were happy to be joined by the newest member of Brew Hoop to gain his insights from the Southern Hemisphere.
Jack Trehearne is a welcome addition to our now one-man-strong Australian contingent. He brings plenty of basketball Xs and Os knowledge to the site, came upon Bucks fandom stocking store shelves, and is a Stanley Umude Believer to boot.
Welcome to the site,...

Fresh off an appearance by the current play-by-play announcer of the Milwaukee Bucks, Lisa Byington, we were delighted to have the opportunity to have her predecessor undergo the Season Preview Series treatment.
Jim Paschke needs no introduction for Bucks fans regardless of how long they've been following the team. While he has stepped back from the daily grind of covering the Bucks, he continues to follow both the team and league closely. His answers to our bevy of questions about the...

As Deer Diaries (A Milwaukee Bucks Podcast!) reaches the halfway point in our Season Preview Series, we wanted to mix things up with a special visit from our friend behind @TeutoniaWorld.
Joined by Kyle Carr, we had an expansive (meandering?) discussion on a number of subjects. Is basketball broken and, if so, can it be fixed? What will be gambling's legacy in sports? Do we even know what makes a good NBA coach in 2024? Can Jeff Teague's podcast save sports media? Have we just become the...

In the first half we run through intriguing new Bucks, young Bucks with upside, and a few ranking questions to boot.
Part two will be out tomorrow!

Having gone from rookie podcaster to semi-regular co-host of Deer Diaries, a season ago, it was time for Brew Hoop's Jackson Gross to enter the Season Preview Series interview studio. As expected, a lot of his answers to our standard series of questions zigged where others had zagged, and the end result was a really fun conversation.
That, plus another edition of Jackson's Build, and, unexpectedly, more coaching talk - this time from the cross country world!
You can find Jackson on Twitter...

With Milwaukee Bucks Summer League at an end and the team more or less wrapped up with free agency, Adam and Kyle underwent a rare, "Oops, all rapid fire!" episode of the podcast. Riley poses questions about the rookies, the full-roster young guys, whether we'll live long enough to see the Bucks win a SL title, intriguing new additions, rating Jon Horst's offseason, and, of course, our first Eight Man Rotation Challenge.

With the Milwaukee Bucks miraculously picking not just one, but two teenagers in last week's NBA Draft, Riley and Kyle got together to make sense of it all. Is AJ Johnson two years away from being two years away? How likely is it that Tyler Smith can find some spot rotation minutes in year one? And can we even trust the organization's ability to develop young talent away from NBA minutes?
They discuss that, plus rapid fire questions and a review of Zac Efron's latest work, "A Family Affair".

The Milwaukee Bucks did more than just stave off elimination at the hands of the Indiana Pacers - they pummeled the opposition. Riley, Adam, and Kyle in a field reporter role discuss Milwaukee's 115-92 win and where things might just go next as the series returns to Indianapolis. The championship Bucks (plus Gallo) showed out, Doc Rivers's switching defense worked wonders, and Malik Beasley has a pulse again. They talk all that and more in this edition of Instant Reaction.
