“The Bridge is a podcast told from the perspective of a young woman positioned in one of the Transcontinental Bridge's watchtowers. Yes, as we learn from a chirpy ad at the beginning of the first episode, this is a world in which people drive across the Atlantic rather than fly from one continent to another. Along the way, they may encounter strange and dangerous situations, such as a hotel in which all of the guests vanish overnight. The narrator's recounting of Bridge lore brings to mind Welcome to Night Vale, but with a larger cast of characters and a stronger central narrative thread from the get-go.
