Boring
Well I’ve tried several episodes and I’m giving up on this. I subscribed on the recommendation of The English History podcast (excellent by the way) but this is really very poor. I was looking forward to actually hearing about British food history, but no, most of the time is spent interviewing some nonentity and asking about their early life, qualifications and achievements and no opportunity is lost to insert some trendy political point of view; climate change, transgender issues, racism etc, take your pick. Can’t be bothered with it anymore. A pity. There is a gap in the market for someone who is actually interested in the subject.
