“The show is getting better. Bad episodes talk about the latest homebrew conference they're going to go to / went to but don't cover much interesting, for 15 minutes, then rehash what you've read on the website with too many numbers. They do go into depth about why they tested the variable, but if you're reading the (great) website and listening to the podcast, you most likely already know why. Great shows cover new content (maybe two so far at 13 shows in), especially a recent one on hop production. The worst episode was one an entire "commercial" episode where they talked with a sponsor at length - I absentmindedly listened for about 20 minutes on the development of wort chillers before I bailed. Looking forward to more Brew-and-A episodes and new content rather than rattling off experiment results and explaining the theory behind a variable. Definitely a lot of potential, but I'm not making it to the end of every episode yet.
Oh yeah, top notch production for a new "homebrewed" podcast. No fuzzy phone in's, and incorporating music for bumpers and to identify ads (except for wort chiller episodes).”
