It's almost as good as a free buffet
Best sports betting podcast there is. So glad they're back! Maybe I should rewrite Scooch's Wikipedia page. Two questions... 1) When sports betting was legalized, Chad and Scooch talked about deserving some credit for it. However, Bill Simmons and Cousin Sal have claimed that they're among legalized sports betting's founding fathers. Those aren't necessarily mututally exclusive but who deserves the credit? More importantly - what would the line be in a fight between The Action Network and The Ringer over this issue? I think the Action Network has to be -150 favorites. On the one hand The Ringer has some big guys like Cousin Sal and House (no offense - they had an all-you-can-eat contest on a podcast called House Eats so I think it's safe to call them "big guys"); On the other hand I think Scooch would recruit some questionable Vegas "friends" with nicknames like "The Hook" and "Vinnie the Bear" as well as a silverback gorilla or two. 2) Shouldn't there have been a gentlemen's agreement among the states that New Jersey gets to have sports betting first? F U Delaware - you didn't just invest 5+ years spending time and money fighting the US government and every major sports league. It would be like if someone started as a magazine researcher, wrote a book that has defined the sports betting lifestyle, became editor of a major sports magazine and started his own podcast but then some random bookmaker snaked credit for the book and renamed their weekly show The Scooch Pod. Keep up the good work guys! Steven SelikoffRead full review »

Monday's Pod is pretty solid with the added perspective of former players. Wednesday with Schooch is awesome just like the days of ESPN. Friday's are painful with the annoying BlackJack who sounds like the Drunk moron in a Vegas Sportsbook that you just have to put up with.
