It’s better than uncontrolled weeping…
The British comedian/commentator Andy Zaltzman and his guests discuss current events in Andy’s shed. Ok, usually the guests aren’t actually in the shed with him, but the show does have the feel of a casual conversation one might have over a beer with friends, provided those friends are incredibly witty and well-informed. Following current events can leave one with the crippling sense that the world is incomprehensible, chaotic, barbaric, place. Shows like this will not dispel that sense, but they show you the humorous side and make you laugh. That sure beats the alternative!

A quirky take on the week's news, with a distinctly British sensibility and sarcastic, dry wit. John Oliver and Andy Zaltzman play off each other brilliantly. If you like Oliver on The Daily Show (and need a fix while it's on forced hiatus), definitely give this a listen.Read full review »

This has got to be one of the best podcast out there. Funny, smart, political and with cute British accent - what more can you ask for. I hope John Oliver will keep up with this podcast even after the writters strike is over.
