Scarily, the lies that Andy and guests make up are more credible and logical than the world they are satirising. Always enjoy a new episode, and will often go back many years to hide from the present. Sadly running out of back catalogue. Where’s the Time Machine to create more old episodes?

This podcast is funnier than any other podcast. The original comedy podcast

If only there were more pun runs and obscure sporting references of a statistical nature.

I have been a listener for years now. The standard is consistently high. Very funny, very clever, not to be missed.

I guess, decide for yourselves, but for my (🇨🇦) money it’s one of the best out there. And forgetting Andy, his guests are also brilliant. Alice, Nish, Nato and Harry in particular (though in no particular order) are world class great. Keep it up you guys. And thanks!

My poor husband knows when I’ve gotten behind & then catch up on The Bugle because puns WILL slip out. Be warned of this known adverse reaction.

Love the satire and wordplay. Andy is a GENIUS!

The British comedian/commentator Andy Zaltzman and his guests discuss current events in Andy’s shed. Ok, usually the guests aren’t actually in the shed with him, but the show does have the feel of a casual conversation one might have over a beer with friends, provided those friends are incredibly...Read full review »

How many times listening through every episode is too many? The early years (up to season 2) with Andy and John are the best, but the guest appearances from season 3 are also very good.

Usually a fun UK perspective on current events. Unfortunately Andy’s guests sometimes just espouse Progressive bigotry, negativity and meanness. But Andy avoids piling on and can find humor in nearly all situations. At a minimum, you’ll hear the best (and worst) wordplay of any podcast.

Scarily, the loss that Andy and guests make up are more credible and logical than the world they are satirising. Always enjoy a new episode, and will often go back many years to hide from the present.

THE best satire in the US, the UK, Australia, and most other places. Loved it back in the John Oliver days, love it just as much now.

Truly wonderful satire and whacky humour that, once you get to know it, will have you waiting for the next episode with a sense of longing, like for a long-lost weird but quite wonderful friend… Andy & 2 guests + producer Chris really make life better & more fun, every week.

This show is my lifeblood for understanding the world's incredibly dreary happenings. I was sad when John Oliver had to stop being on it but Andy has done an amazing job with rotating comics. It has also exposed me to so many new comics that I now seek out their comedy: Alice Fraser, Nish...Read full review »

Been listening since the beginning and cannot recommend this podcast enough. The madder the times the more Andy and Team Bugle’s take on our visual world makes sense and (best of all) makes me laugh and restores my faith in humanity. Grab this and the quite astoundingly clever Alice Fraser’s...Read full review »

Great cast, very silly, almost makes me dead the inevitable decline of civilisation and life as we know it just a bit less, at least whilst laughing

A couple of weeks ago Andy was hosting the news quiz and someone bailed on the panel, but Neil Delamere was on, and I was like that means more time for neil and andy, yes please. So excited to have neil on the buggle this week. They only had to share with one other bloke, and he was pretty good...Read full review »

Longest-lasting podcast (at 15 years) at least that I’ve been listening to, from back in the dark days when nobody knew what a podcast was. And for good reason: intelligent, subversive, hilarious recap of the last week(s) from “the audio newspaper for a visual world”. With the center of gravity...Read full review »

Laugh outloud lefty news satire. I can’t get enough. Wish they wouldn’t use the cu__ word so much (I know it’s British but it’s still so sexist) but otherwise love it.

Only discovered the Bugle recently but have loved going back in time to hear its take on all the atrocities committed by the Tories over the years. Absolutely essential listening - keep up the great work

Absolutely essential listening. Razor sharp witty analysis that helps explain the world without being unbearably depressing. Sometimes this is the only way I can consume news…even the darkest events are made bearable

Dear Chris, I’ve listened to every episode in the archive—most twice. When are you going to book Zaltzman on Mark Steel’s podcast. & as the Scottish 2nd referendum approaches next year, when are you going to book him (& take Steel & Kumar with him) to “Real Time with BIll Maher.” ...Read full review »

Been listening to The Bugle for years. I remember when John Oliver was the co-host. The Bugle has grown, thrived and survived.

Funniest podcast around - all the guests are excellent every time. Andy Zaltzman seems able to write seriously humorous flights of fancy no matter what the subject and no matter how much cricket he’s been watching the night before. And check out the episode with the ‘exclusive outtakes’ from when...Read full review »
