“I started listening to his show about a year ago, and I've learned so much about Bulgaria as I've listened. This is a great companion podcast to Mike Duncan's History of Rome and The History of Byzantium podcasts. The only reason I gave it four stars is because as the podcast has gone on, there have been moments where it's lost it's focus on Bulgaria and focused a lot on the Byzantines. I understand that some talk about Byzantium is important for context, but some of the later episodes feel like a podcast about the Byzantines, not Bulgarians.”Read full review »
