Historical mystery that rivals Shakespeare
Fascinating historical perspective. Fun to listen to with lots of details and lots of human interest. It’s an incredible period of history in which we know so much but also know so little, especially for those countries that disappeared behind the iron curtain. Hearing from witnesses, experts, and interviews with the adult children of King Boris within the context of World War II and the threat to Jewish populations, and anyone who sought to protect them, while trying to solve the murder of the King was an incredible journey. We too often forget how complex life is. War and constant danger make it even more complex. The podcast ebbs and flows with complexities but most of all with empathy for the children, their country and the many people. I closed my eyes and let the investigative lines carry me into the past, the mystery and the history. Wonderfully investigated and narrated.

I was pleasantly surprised by this podcast. I love WWII history and I did not know this story about Bulgaria and its involvement in the war so this was very interesting and engaging.
