Fans of Serial will enjoy
The first episode starts off a little slow. I didn’t enjoy how some parts of the story were ordered, and it made understanding the setting of the story a little confusing. However, the podcast quickly picks up from there, reminding me of the first season of Serial, both in the unfolding and in some great music choices. I appreciate how the writers take the time to evaluate the king’s actions from different viewpoints and put his choices in perspective from the precarious position he found himself and his country in from political, geographical, and military standpoints, without bogging down the story in too much dry history. Overall, a great listen, and I’m hoping that Boris’s children may get some evidence by the end of the podcast as to who murdered their father.
