The Canes jumped out to a 4-0 lead through two periods and coasted home to a 5-2 win over Vegas. Carolina bounces back from Saturday's loss which ended their 8-game winning streak. Jack Roslovic's brace pushed the Canes past the Penguins, 5-1. Carolina has now won 8 straight games and improves to 10-2 on the season. He has 9 goals through 12 games. Martin Necas continued his hot streak scoring with 30 seconds left in regulation as the Hurricanes were able to beat the Flyers, 6-4. Necas' 7th goal of the season was his 3rd game-winning goal of the year. He also added an assist earlier (on the Eric Robinson goal) and now has a career high 4 consecutive multi-point games. Dimitry Orlov scored twice as the Canes cooled off the red hot Capitals, 4-2, at Lenovo Center. Martin Necas factored in on the first three Hurricanes goals, setting up Orlov for the first and third. Sebastian Aho's second overtime winner of the season gave the Canes a 4-3 win over the Canucks. Carolina closes out the road trip 5-1-0 with a 4th straight win. Martin Necas had a goal and an assist (on the Aho game-winner) and has three multi-point games in the last four. The Canes continued their road trip dominance, flying past the Kraken, 4-1. Martin Necas' 100th career goal highlighted the Canes' 4-2 win in Calgary. Carolina got a power play goal from Seth Jarvis and goals from Jack Roslovic and Eric Robinson in winning for the 4th time in their last 5 games. Pyotr Kochetkov stopped 30 shots for his 2nd win. The Canes scored a power play goal for the 4th straight game and shut down the Flames' two chances with the mad advantage. Sebastian Aho's goal with seven seconds left in overtime pushed the Canes to a 3-2 win in Edmonton. Shayne Gostisbehere and Martin Necas each scored in the 3rd period as Carolina rallied from a 2-0 deficit after 40 minutes. Ghost, who notched his 3rd power play goal of the season, has now scored in 4 straight games. Necas' 2nd of the year tied the game with 6 1/2 minutes to play in regulation. Oh, and Frederik Andersen was spectacular in net. 33 saves for his 18th career win over the Oilers....

The Canes scored twice on the power play, were perfect on the penalty kill and got solid goaltending from Frederik Andersen in a convincing win over the Penguins. Sixty four seconds after Drew O'Connor gave the Pens a 1-0 lead, Carolina rookie Jackson Blake brought the Canes even with his second goal of the season. Martin Necas and Shayne Gostisbehere scored power play goals - Carolina's first two of the season - and Jack Roslovic's first goal of the season closed out the scoring.

The Carolina Hurricanes completed their summer of contract signings with arguably their most important return. Seth Jarvis, the breakout star of 2024, signed an 8-year extension that will pay him $63.2 million over the life of the contract. Even though the average number is $7.9 million, the deal will only count for just over $7.4 million against the cap.
