Master baiters
It's the middle class carp cast. Not a huge amount of self doubt and sometimes..self assured to the point of arrogance (yes you Sam), 'it'll honestly be the best bait ever.' If bait and fish science was so key..then John Baker, John Lleywellyn & Simon Scott would be outfishing the likes of Dave Lane, Terry Hearn and Steve Briggs but they're not. It's also easy to philosophise about ingredients and edges without showing the proof / the fish / the captures - the forums are full of pseudo bait boffins. What works on a low stock, low pressure Cornish pit may not be equally successful at Linear. Having said that, it is a refreshing change from people droning on about the Yateley, Horton, Colne valley captures of yore (the Steve Briggs interview was v.good / refreshing). I'd like more honest reviews on tackle, also from listeners regarding line, hooks as well as alarms, bivvies and luggage. Dean Towey and Jason Rider have been good value and Sam & Pete have definitely carved their own niche. Bonus points for the lack of 'scaley bangers' & 'big ups' - and get on the liquidised worm : )Read full review »

A very good working class carp fishing podcast . One of the best down to earth postcasts on fishing that I have found . Very good information on baits and the ins and outs what goes into a good bait and different approaches on how to use it .
