Good stuff with a caveat
Just binged all four seasons. Nothing particularly new in the way of paranormal events but the show became compelling after the first four or five episodes of S1 so don’t give up too soon. If you’re a new listener, and make it to season four, you can skip the first six episodes which are mostly unnecessary ideological drivel - undoubtedly written into the script at the behest of whoever sponsors the show. There’s very little plot advancement and a large amount of ideological division sowing. It’s a load of “Us” vs “Them” instead of striving for a banging paranormal podcast where all listeners are welcome. Thanks for the show. The quality was far better than expected. 👍🏻

More reviews of The Lovecraft Investigations
Listened to this on a long car journey. Fascinating story gradually filling the gaps. Is it supernatural or is there an explanation?

I had my doubts about converting a Lovecraft story into a podcast, but this did it really well. It feels like an podcast from Carlos’s perspective when he came to Night Vale (another great podcast), if that’s any help.

Such a clever blend of genres, the true crime will appeal to the modern podcast fan and the mythos is there for the folklorists like myself! And remember every word is true!! (Wink)
