No Slate Gabfest
The problem is that while the reporters are great, their insights are not particularly noteworthy. Further, the constant interruption to introduce and re-introduce themselves and their show really breaks up the flow. The NYT is a fantastic newspaper, but if these folks listended to the Slate Political Gabfest, they'd know just how seriously their podcast is lacking. The content is good, but the reporters involved are pretty bland and the show feels quite hurried. So I don't really get a sense of which kind of perspective each of them brings. Oh, and could the host PLEASE stop his heavy breathing directly into the microphone. Thanks.Read full review »
