Brian Harman
It isn't too hard to understand why Brian Harman didn't have great support at the Open. It is one thing to respect his terrific golf, but sport today isn't just about terrific golf - not when you can combine brilliant play with a winning personality, and that is definitely what Mr Harman seems to lack. It may be that he is great to know on a personal level, but that is not our relationship as spectators. Is his 'back story' compelling? The only thing you talked on the podcast about was his hunting skills and that he hunts to feed his family. Not a very endearing backstory really is it? There are plenty of golfers with crowd appeal as was seen at the Open, but Brian Harman isn't one of them. Of course there shouldn't be heckling. He is now the Open Champion after playing amazing golf so he will be very happy (even if the rest of us don’t feel the same) Love listening to the chat - especially when you say good things about Rory!! I enjoy this podcast for the inputs by, Eddie. It’s insightful and interesting to hear the perspective of a current tour pro on the ongoing troubles within the game. But my word, do the opinions of Andrew and Iain represent the issues that are facing golf today. Remarks about the behaviour of 10...Read full review »
