“Preface: I am not a Buttigieg supporter
The interview of Buttigieg was an embarrassment. The obsession with his time at McKinsey and the obvious lack of understanding of what junior consultants do was illuminating. As for Mr. Applebaum stating that Buttigieg was at the “front lines of corporate downsizing” and “corporate price fixing” merely highlighted Mr. Applebaum’s inherent prejudice towards Buttigieg. And for the Board to focus so much of their questioning and deliberations on Buttigieg’s style versus his substance (which they admitted was quite aligned with their own) evidenced the shallowness of their thought process and their prejudice towards form over substance. Shockingly embarrassing.”
