Affectionate, but not obsessive.
If you wish that at least one member of your family didn’t think The Archers is pants, or that you had a colleague or two who shared your 7pm weekday Radio 4 addiction, then this is the podcast for you. Every Sunday, three fans of The Archers chew the fat over the previous week’s goings on in Ambridge (including, this week — 16 May 2021 — the saga of Joy’s pants). It’s the family Sunday lunch or office water cooler Archers chat that you’ve been missing. Peter, Keri and Matthew love The Archers, and that shines through, but the tone is lighthearted, affectionate and very occasionally (too occasionally in my view) mildly ribald. We’re only a few episodes in, but for me it’s already essential Sunday listening. If you like The Archers, and it (generally) makes you happy, then give this podcast a go.
