I gave up Twitter / X & have recently discovered the delights of The Cider Shed podcasts. It’s made me laugh out loud - I look forward to it more than I do The actual Archers now. I really wanted to think of something witty to write but I can’t - so I’ll just say THANK YOU!

Where would I be without my Saturday Archers fix courtesy of Matthew and Kerrie? It’s magnificent once again. I urge you all to become Patreons and revel in this podcast early and ad free!

If anyone hasn’t already cottoned on to just how funny this podcast is, they should treat themselves to listening to this episode, especially to the rules sequence for The Bull’s mad Egg and Spoon Race.held during the Easter Weekend. I’ve listened and relistened to the sequence at least a dozen...Read full review »

I’m a 51 year old guy that quite frankly does not admit to listening to the Archers outside of close family members. I stumbled across this podcast and it now makes me finish the week’s episodes so I can listen to it on a Saturday! Love how they take the proverbial out of the shows characters...Read full review »

I thought I was alone in a wasteland of isolated mole-people who tune into The Archers each week. I’m 35 years old and already 5 years in to this strange fandom. I thought I would be walking a lonely road for a long time. Then I found The Cider Shed and, beyond my wildest dreams, they revealed...Read full review »

Stumbling upon The Cider Shed Podcast felt like discovering a hidden orchard tucked away in the heart of Ambridge. Hosted by the dynamic duo of Keri and Matthew, as well as sometimes by Peter, this podcast is like sipping a freshly pressed apple cider. Their banter is as crisp as a frosty morning...Read full review »

Listening to the cider shed is like being in the pub with your mates chatting, you won’t always agree with their views but it’s lots of laughs. And let’s not forget the “Pat Chat”! Keep up the good work guys, this podcast makes my Saturday. Love you all ❤️. Too much??? Nah!

Is it just me or is Ambridge really as weird as it sounds? If you’ve ever asked yourself that question, you need to listen to The Cider Shed Podcast, where the lovely Kerry, Matthew and sometimes Peter will educate, inform, hugely entertain and reassure you that, no, it’s not just you. The chat...Read full review »

If you like the Archers, this show is a must. If you don’t like the Archers, this show is a must. Just listen to this show, it’s dead good. 👍

I’ve followed The Archers on and off for years but always found it easy and painless to drop out of listening. Then I discovered TCS during the Lark Rise to Candleford era and it has changed my whole outlook. I laughed so much at the ‘hungry wallpaper’ piece that I was in physical pain and had to...Read full review »

As a fan of Ambridge on the couch, I didn’t think I needed another archers podcast in my life, but I gave the cider shed a go and discovered that I absolutely did. Clever, funny and often beautifully odd, I thoroughly recommend. Only downside is that i risk loosing all of my Sunday mornings to...Read full review »

I have to write my review on my daughter’s iPad because my review keeps vanishing. I have been listening to the Archers since day one and I think it has totally gone to pot in the last couple of years. People like my son and daughter need your podcast to keep them in the loop. I know I am old...Read full review »

……keep up the excellent work ridiculing the Ambridge nonsense. These days I only listen to TA to keep up with the Cider Shed podcast.

And by Dross I mean all the crap football chat, terrible punnery, “offensive” jingles, and silent Swindon characters. If you think THIS show is a mess, you should see the Patreon. Five stars. 💖⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💖

Thought I’d say you are still splendid and cover relevant everyday issues thoroughly. For example, we need Dewberry body spray back as well as carrot moisturiser. Maybe Natasha could be persuaded to make them from wonky veg that are rejected from their boxes. This is why you should listen to The...Read full review »

I adore the Cider Shed, it’s consistently high-quality, warm and very funny. As many others have said, listening to Keri and Matthew (and Peter, of course, when possible!) feels like a good night down the pub with mates, talking (mostly) about the Archers. On top of this, there are incredible...Read full review »

One of my favourite podcasts. Hosts are very funny and their observations are sharp, spot on and always witty. What I really like is that alongside Ambridge on the Couch, the hosts are kind to each other and there seems to be a genuine friendship there. Keep up the great work everyone!

Always a good take on the week’s happenings in and out of Ambridge. Genuinely interesting people to listen to - who get on, and get on each others nerves. Should have been 5 stars. Apologies just heard I got it wrong. Also please tell us the dum tee drama…

Am loving The Cider Shed podcast. It would appear that there really are other people who are equally hooked on The Archers. We also enjoy a certain amount of Archers anarchy and fun. Cider Shed - you are my people, don’t ever change!

Funny, intelligent and welcoming. This one of my favourite bits of the psychologically questionable community that orbits The Archers. Keep going, mes braves. You’re helping stabilise my life in loopily uncertain times. x

Hi Cider shed. I got hooked on TA one my first trip to play sand castles on Op Telic and have been listening ever since on my trusty ancient iPod currently posted out in Belgium. Well, well. Where have you been all my life? I’ve been listening to TA since approximately the Jurassic era and very much appreciate the addition of meta-Archers podcastery. The Cider Shed is, without question, the best exemplar of this genre. Accept no substitute! ❤️❤️❤️

If there was a law passed that would allow everyone to listen to only one podcast, I would chose the cider shed - as it is ace. It would have the added advantage that I would not be able to listen to the bloody Archers.

In the tepid bathtub of Archers podcasts this is the top-up of hot water that will make you want to linger until your skin goes all prune-like. Keri and Matthew are hilarious together and have a great rapport, Peter’s influence is still felt. Not the original but by far the best - so pleased...Read full review »

This team have a brilliant sense of humour and it’s great to hear their views on all things Archers (& more). Some Fantastic jingles and fabulous Ambridge influenced Ads boost your energy like a warm cup of coffee in the morning.

Proud to be a patreon and have listened since the first episode. Have had to stop listening in the cafe as I usually did as was laughing out loud too often which became embarrassing. Everything I think about the Archers but not articulate enough to voice. Now my favourite podcast.

Have you ever got a new mattress or a better office chair and suddenly feel loads better? That’s what listening to the Cider Shed is like for Archers fans. All welcome, glad to know I’m not the only one who loves The Archers but dislikes most of the actual Archer family.

Great to know that the BBC continue to support this podcast by investing in a (sometimes) mediocre 6 nights a week drama loosely based around the topics covered in the Cider Shed Podcast. Public Service broadcasting at its finest.
AndyMar via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 09/25/23
Scathingly funny, Keri, Matthew and Peter’s beastly banter sees the folks in Ambridge given a right royal roasting or lashings of love on a weekly basis. Hands down the best Archers fan podcast out there.
