Slow to start rolling
I was skeptical at first as the monologue was a big drone and lacked color in the first episodes even to the point that I could not see relevance. However they did eventually weave it all together mostly. The short stories about soldiers and their afterwar experiences and careers are very interesting. The preparations to defend Washington were very revealing as to the strength and power of Lincoln. Overall the struggle for me at the beginning has been worth it as more and more facts are revealed. Really enjoyed the episode on music and finally getting to some southern officers , yes I guess I am prejudice. Now have yo add that 5th star.
