As with Ray Harris' World War 2 podcast, this ones shows that rather than being the "Beginning of the End of the United States. It was the end of the beginning so to speak as the "slave issue" had been simmering to a greater or lesser extent pretty well since the 4th July 1776. The only objection to this podcast that I can offer is that because each pod cast is so detailed and in depth thirty episodes only get them to Fort Sumter. I've learned a huge amount about the long lead up to the war thanks to these podcasts and I've done so in an enjoyable manner.Read full review »
