“I listen to many hours of podcast content each week and I can't recommend this podcast highly enough. As a primer for people with very little knowledge of The Civil War it's first rate; provides deep background, context and acknowledges the controversies and tensions that surrounded the events of that period, some of which even persist to this day.
In addition each episode references tonnes of specialist literature & sources which the more experienced listener can seek out.
