Was never a huge audiobook fan until a friend recommended Scaramouche to me, and now I’m absolutely hooked! The narrator just makes the story come alive, and is so talented with the different voices! Thank you so much for making some of these full length novels free.

I love the personal moments, especially the ones about me and my brothers haha. 10/10 narrator and 100/10 dad ❤️

Love listening to these classic books but what makes BJ stand out is his insights into his and his family’s life. Those “personal moments” take only a few minutes and made me smile. People that don’t want that bit can FF a few minutes - now I have to go elsewhere to find them - please put them...Read full review »

Very much enjoy this podcast. Recently a few sci-go stories have crept into the lineup which makes it even better!!

The stories are, of course, classic and there's a great variety But the narration is what makes them compelling. I've unsubscribed to a number of "stories" podcasts where the narration was stilted or unconvincing. BJ Harrison's stories are rich and lively, with wonderful...Read full review »

A podcast for those that love literature and learning. I wish there was even more about the historical context of each story; feels like being back in college. Great narrator too!

I have been a long time listener and financial supporter of this show. I love the talent that B J brings to the table. I could listen to this guy read the phone book. Having said that I’m wicked disappointed that he has given into the book burring woke mob. I was listing to the last episode and...Read full review »

I’ve gotten used to skipping to the 3 minute mark to avoid all the blather. Recently, however, it became apparent the narrator believes we are too stupid to dis-associate the quasi racists epitaphs of a story created in the 1920’s with modern sensibilities. In the fictional Buck Rogers story the...Read full review »

I love literature, but as a busy working landscaper parent, look to work as my reading time. This podcast has been in my pocket for many years providing me entertainment and enlightenment as I get through the day. I’m so thankful for the thoughtfully chosen titles and excellent narration. The highest quality literature, delivered by a masterful reader, recorded with professional level gear. Thank you! The production of the Great Gatsby is truly phenomenal.

The politically correct commentary on the stories got tiresome - especially when it’s completely off base. The self-aggrandizement and personal sharing got tiresome. It’s too bad, because the selection of stories was very good. To be a good reader/narrator one needs to melt into the background,...Read full review »

The first time I listened in I wanted to hear a story but it’s just a lot of talk and no story. I will try to enjoy this but I think there’s a lot of underestimation of the listener here.

Love the narrator’s voice and choice of stories! Even the personal stories are cute. I always look forward to Fridays because of BJ Harrison.

very good podcast. But would you put your recipe for crock pot Indian chicken? You said your children loved it. This was in 2020 I think. Then everyone could make it. i think you called it butter Indian crock pot chicken. All the kids wanted it More. Then we could have dinner and listen to your...Read full review »

Although I like the voice and the “tales” I resent being hit up each episode. It’s enough to cause me to change ‘stations’. Oh, poor you!
dellarisa via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/06/20
Where BJ shines is especially apparent in Wodehouse stories. If I were reading the story the humor would not be as evident. The way the host/narrator interprets and develops characters brings out the humor. Frustrating to have to wait a week. Thanks for the positive experience!

These stories are amazing! I listen to something from this podcast almost every day. I am writing this after finishing the 12th and final episode of Scaramouche. I have been following this podcast for a while, and have enjoyed it thoroughly, BJ is sooo talented.
