I don't care what anybody says...The Collings and Herrin Podcast is TERRIFIC!
Hello Andrew and Richard (I know that you often read the comments on ITUNES.) I think that the Collings and Herrin Podcast is fantastic. I have been a fan of Richard Herring for many years (especially 'TMWRNJ' and 'TWTTIN') so I was delighted to dicover him on the Collings and Herrin Podcast. However, I have to admit that I was not a fan of Andrew Collins, I'm always rather disappointed whenever he sits in as Movie Reviewer for Mark Kermode, whenever he abandons his followers to go on holiday. Now I am looking forward to hearing Mr. Collins reviews on the latest cinema releases... you were spot-on about 'Mamma Mia', Andrew, I should have taken your advice, as a result of Kermode's glowing review I had to endure 108 minutes of excruciating pain. I am, most definitely, an Andrew Collins convert, thanks to the Collings and Herrin Podcast (and you are just as funny as Richard... well, you make me laugh!) The Twenty somethings have the Russell Howard Podcast, the Thirty somethings have the Adam and Joe Podcast and the Forty (going on 14) somethings have the Collings and Herrin Podcast. So what if it's just two blokes in a room talking about this, that, the news, Jon Gaunt and nothing-in-particular... that's what most podcasts are. At least Collings and Herrin are witty, interesting and intelligent, and at least they haven't sold their souls to the ad-men. (Unlike Danny Wallace, Dom Joly and Mackenzie Crook... Talk about a Painful Podcast!) As for the comments about poor sound quality: it sounds perfectly fine to me (and I'm a stickler for good audio quality.) Maybe the Plaintiff's headphones / earphones are at fault. If you like Russell Howard's or the Adam and Joe Podcast or the Radio 4 panel game 'Banter' then give the Collings and Herrin Podcast a try, I'm pretty sure you'll like it... and don't forget to check out the archive on ITUNES to catch up on the episodes you've missed. After all, It's FREE!!!Read full review »

A bit of a long podcast which rambles at times, but definitely has some comedy gems sprinkled in the pudding of banter.

Richard Herring (son of comedy superstar Leanne Herring, creator of 'Mitt of Mirth' ) and Andrew Collins (a man raised in a strange voodooistic cult by adoptive parents known as Eh'neh Mee and Q'ma Gazine) shuffle the week's papers in front of a microphone whilst sampling the...Read full review »
