“Store owner Ryan Higgins and a cadre of regulars host this show focusing on big name comics and the media they spawn. Perspectives on the show are limited, mainly consisting of DC fans with a lone Marvel fan, and no women, but the main draw to me is the actual interaction between the cast members, rather than the topics. The current regulars on the cast are entertaining, with a lot of love and genuine excitement. It's fun getting news and reviews of new comics/shows/movies from them, even if I don't always agree. My only real disappointments are an occasional cranky old guard reaction to publisher attempts at broadening demographics, and the fact that the show rarely broadens topics from superhero/zombie/sci-fi. Euro books and manga occasionally get discussed thanks to cast member Toby, but seemingly no one reads any small press or indie books. Overall still a great show if you're interested in the big name superhero comics, Dr Who, and Walking Dead.”Read full review »

“This podcast is good mostly because it is cool to hear one of the voices of the Geekbox talk about comics for a full hour. This is a heavily biased podcast however that really focuses on the podcasters likes... meaning that if you like Marvel comics or anything non DC you may be waiting a while...”Read full review »
