“I’ve been playing EDH/Commander every sunday night for the past couple years with the same crew of five Wizards. After discovering this show, I’ve been talking about it non-stop on our game night.
The hosts are great and energetic and seem to have a really solid grasp of the format. The EDH game theory is top notch and they do an excellent job of putting to words things we’d been doing for years. For example, politics were always something that was a bit of a grey area in our group, well all did it, but it was almost considered a derogatory term. Through listening to the show and some discussion that added clarity, we've learned to embrace it and the entire dynamic has greatly improved in our group. This is just one example, other concepts such as threat management, deck power levels and group meta discussion have all helped improve my game and I’ve eagerly shared them with my group.
A word of warning, this show will make you want to build more Commander decks.
I’ve got a dozen or so decks already, but the concepts they present sound too great to pass up on, so I’ve built out several already. Frankly, sometimes after I listen to the show I can’t even think at work, because too many exciting ideas are spinning around my brain.
I can’t recommend this show strongly enough. If you regularly play EDH/Commander, this is a podcast is a must. The concepts on the show have not only improved my game, they have helped improve our entire sunday group as a whole.”Read full review »
