Been there for me for years. No notes. I don’t think y’all could run out of topics I would listen to. Love from Chatt.

Used to be a good show, but recently turned to be a platform for promoteing woke and anti-Israeli ideas

These two fine gentlemen do a fine job breaking down the most current science and focused topics in an manner that’s easy to understand, our entire family listens to it and we love it

I have been listening to podcasts since they were first released on iTunes and this show is my favourite. My friends and family don’t understand why I get so excited to learn about feathers or leaves for two hours, but every fortnight I know I’m in for a treat.

Hi! As someone who has listened to every episode and has loved this podcast for almost a year, I would like to recommend it to you, dear reader. If you are interested in prehistoric life, evolution, and fossils but you don’t want pretentious hosts or mind melting technical discussions, this one...Read full review »

Keep your politics out of your podcast.

Such good science communication! Every time I have a question about the natural world this podcast answers it. The Silver Screen Science and SpookE eps are some of my favorites! Keep up the amazing work guys

Super informative, great fun, puts other podcasts to shame.

Only listen to a few episodes so far, but we love it. The dragonflies episode was particularly good as one of my children is currently in a insect phase. Hopefully they will do an episode on cockroaches!

This podcast has everything I want out of a paleontology podcast. Good science communication, genuine interest in every topic, and plenty of jokes or references that show scientists are people too. Keep up the great work!

Conversation Paleontology at its best! Have been listening since 2020 and listen to episodes up and down the list almost everyday. I just love the content and the voices of David and Will. Keep it up!

I’ve always wanted to be a paleontologist since I was a kid and now as an adult in a science field I kind of want to get back into it. So I started listening to many podcasts on paleontology and this one is one of my favorites! Lots of facts and lots of sources and the guests talks are great as...Read full review »

Fascinating topics presented with enthusiasm by exceedingly likeable hosts. Highly recommended

It’s interesting enough to distract me from my daily worries, but not so exciting that it keeps me awake. Still, I go back and re-start where I fell asleep last time, because it really is interesting, so it’s really the perfect show for my insomnia.

Finally caught up with all the episodes. Well presented, excellent knowledge in an approachable format. Keep it up guys! Would recommend you look at Rebecca Wragg Sykes and Chris Stringer too.

These 2 best friends and paleontologists are hilarious and informative! They make every topic fascinating and you can tell they love what they do! Take a listen!

It’s hard to find podcasts on science topics that don’t start with the assumption that all non-scientist listeners need to be talked to like 6th graders. I stumbled upon Will and David talking about pterosaurs a few years back while looking for multi-hour interesting shows that could accompany...Read full review »

I highly recommend this show for providing an in depth overview of a subject every week together with a digest of the latest palaeontology news. The Yo-Bro delivery can be a bit grating, but my tastes are not everybody’s and the content far exceeds my petty annoyance.
Liminal Borderer via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 11/02/23
Love this show because it’s makes me a better archaeologist in the field as someone who focused on humans only, learning about the other living creatures and processes of evolution and extinctions seriously helps me when I’m excavating.
Lixroxxxxxxx via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/06/23
My favorite podcast. I’ve been working my way through episodes from the beginning and enjoyed all of them. I’ve seen some reviews complain about too much banter/joking around, but for me that’s one of the draws. I love when science presenters act like they enjoy what they’re talking about.
RBaker221 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/02/23
I started a bunch of paleo podcasts at the same time. I listen to them all but this is the one that I go though the archives on. I love how excited they get talking about things. I love the deep dives into single topics. I love the accessible information. Update: this has become the only podcast...Read full review »

I listened to Spook-E Sea Serpents as a test since I am the author of the book The Great New England Sea Serpent. Their research is almost comically superficial. They made no reference to the greatest Sea Serpent researcher of all time Bernard Heuvelmans, nor did they reference Rupert Gould or...Read full review »

Clever and knowledgeable discussions. Good level of science for novices and those that might be more advanced! I love the humour and jokes between David and Will. It is more like a fun discussion and I feel like I’m in on all the inside dino jokes 👌

Loving this scientist duo’s take on paleontology, which is just as much about evolution. I started listening to TWIEVO (This Week in Evolution) podcast around the same time & it’s a great complement to Common Descent. Both 5 stars with a bullet.

Excellent density of information and chat - this is currently my favourite podcast! Just great.

Just discovered this podcast. I am loving it. The snake episode convinced me that snakes are better than crocodiles, but I still think birds are the coolest animals.

I don’t know how this doesn’t come up when you search for general science pods; it is worthy of a top ten listing. I also don’t know how they have the time and energy to do this whilst having no ad revenue. I’m currently a pauper, but if I had the means, I would be a patron and pay for all their...Read full review »

This podcast has repeatedly gotten me through mind numbingly dreary days and has been a great listen. One thing though (basically my own mini rant) is that I have been waiting on the episode about dragons that they promised, other than that it’s an amazing podcast and definitely binge worthy.

For me the most interesting and scientific profound podcast. Nothing is forgotten. And with a lot of joy and good stories.

Two guys who know their stuff, talking about a subject they clearly love, what could be better? Also calming voices to de-stress, but that backfired a little, it took several tries to get to the end of the 4 hour + questions mega-sode!

Interesting and interesting to those of us not in the field. One of the fellows though is REALLY difficult to understand - he has a diffident and hesitant speaking manner and speaks without confidence. Just couldn’t listen any more.

Excellent work. Best podcast. Entertaining, interesting, well documented, good sound, well edited. What could I say, I cannot stop listening over and over, and waiting for the next one. Good job!!

Hosts David and Will display real enthusiasm for their subject matter- even the non-reptilian topics! Good research, clear descriptions and explanations, and nerd humor abound in every episode. The huge back catalog will keep you captivated for hours if not days.

This is my favorite podcast by far.
