I am an armchair cult expert. I took a couple classes on cults in uni, and I’ve been interested in them as long as I can remember. I’ve had friends who were raised in cults or later joined cults. But I have NEVER heard of this group. I get the sense it’s a known group in NZ, but it’s not known in Canada. This was so well produced, nuanced, and thorough. This may be the best cult podcast I’ve ever listened to.

This is the best investigative podcast I’ve heard this year. Excellent journalism that takes the time to dive into the nuances and complexity of tangled tale. Highly recommend.

This is a very compelling podcast. The research is comprehensive and the telling of the stories is both engaging and disturbing. I knew much of the history but not all the depths of depravity that is uncovered.

As a 64 year old kiwi I thought I was familiar with the Centrepoint story having lived in NZ throughout - however there was much more to be known and understood. Presentation was thorough and helped me form an informed view.
